About Us
Why 'From Dust'?
The poets of Genesis tell a story of a God who forms humans from the very dust of the earth and infuses us with Divine breath and life. In the contemporary world, it is all too easy to drift farther and farther away from the people God has made us to be. Whether it is by striving for success and losing track of our identity in the process, or through experiences of injustice that cause us to drift, we can lose touch with who we were made to be.
What is From Dust?
From Dust consists of two main areas: a Film and a Gathering.
First, we use film as a powerful communicator to explore important aspects of life and faith in a creative way.
Second, it’s a new kind of faith community - a place where people from diverse viewpoints can watch the films together, not only learning from the content itself, but also by listening to each other and the unique perspective everyone brings.
Our paid packages come with thought provoking questions and tools to help enrich discussion.
Rhythms
We tend to release three films per month and set aside one week as a space for communities to gather in a different kind of way that suits them.
As well as our films we also produce ‘Rhythms’ which are meditation and spiritual practice videos that we also encourage communities to use from time to time.
Team
A small but dedicated team powers From Dust behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly and always here to offer support when you need it.
